A two day Protocol Training course was hosted at DWR Distribution in Randburg on 3 and 4 September. This year, Nick Britz from DWR took charge of the training sessions that were aimed at benefiting technicians and interested industry players.
The Protocol Training covered everything from the basic DMX 512, RMD, Artnet, Ethernet and Wireless Networking. It also included fault-finding techniques, addressing fixtures, monitoring units in the rig, configuring networks and the ins and outs of some of the most commonly used protocols.
The course marked the first of many training sessions DWR Distribution has planned for September 2012. Other courses scheduled for this month include the Avolites Titan 6 Training on the 10 and 11 September and Robe Training on the 17 and 18 September.
