The Southern African Communications Industries Association (SACIA) will be hosting a
number of training programmes for its members in the upcoming months.

These will include a AV Certification preparation class, to be held in Johannesburg
from 23 to 25 August, which is relevant for SACIA members in both the AV and live
events sectors who are in the process of preparing for either the InfoComm CTS or
SACIA CertAV Professional examinations. In addition, the association will be hosting
the InfoComm AV Essentials class from 20 to 22 September, also in Johannesburg.

Outside of the pro-AV sector, SACIA will be hosting three training courses aimed at the
broadcast community titled: Audio and video fundamentals for broadcast engineer.
“The course has has been updated in the last 12 months and provides real value for
industry professionals wanting to better understand the technologies and techniques
used to manage the storage of audio and video data in a broadcast environment,’
says SACIA executive director, Kevin Jones.

Additionally, the association will be presenting its popular 2-day Broadcast Workflows
course on 7-8 September and 5-6 October and a repeat of its Understanding the
Broadcast and Media Industry course on 9-10 October.

SACIA members who would like to attend these training courses are invited to contact
Jones via email: kevan@sacia.org.za or visit www.sacia.org.za for more information.
