Greetings, and welcome to the March/April digital edition of AV Integration by Pro-Systems.

The year started on an exciting note for the AV Integration team as we joined more than 80 thousand visitors at Integrated Systems Europe, held at the RAI in Amsterdam between 5 and 8 February.

Once again, the show proved to be the seminal event in the industry calendar, providing the perfect platform for the world’s leading technology manufacturers to launch new products. Among the technology trends at this year’s show were 8K displays; smart building technologies, including Internet of Things integration; AI-equipped devices; the continued progression of conferencing and collaboration technologies; 3D projection mapping; a wider-than-ever choice of curved, flexible, transparent and ever-smaller-pitch LED displays; and further developments in AV over IP and audio networking.

In this issue, we have explored a number of installations in the South African market, including a dynamic and extremely innovative out-of-home advertising solution spearheaded by Primary Colours, and a wireless presentation system deployed by Integrated Home and Office for Dariel, a leading software solutions company in Johannesburg.
