Stage Audio Works, a leading international supplier, manufacturer and distributor of event technology, has completed an AV installation that included use of the Christie LHD700 projector at Midrand’s ACTS Christian Church. The new system that was designed by Hugh Overy of Stage Audio Works is intended to add a new dimension to the church’s already magnanimous and enthusiastic services.
The installation took place at Act’s new venue on the corner of Allan Road & Olifantsfontein Road in Midrand. The large venue can hold a capacity of over 3000 people so choosing the correct equipment for the task was important for the engineers at Stage Audio Works.
The equipment installed included 2x Christie LHD 700′s, 2x 16:9 DA-LITE fixed frame screens as well as 2x DVI Gear’s DVI over fibre signal distribution units.
Commenting on the installation Peter de Fin of ACTS Church stated: “The equipment added some new AV devices to our church and the results are so effective because people prefer to look at the screens than at the speaker.
“The new equipment was installed effectively, but a small over sight resulted in some overtime work. The Stage Audio Works team, who were a pleasure to work with, worked hard to ensure that Acts Christian Church to opened in time.’
