The TiD Road Trip with TC Group took place in Johannesburg on 5 November, in Cape Town on 11 November and in Port Elizabeth on 18 November. The road trip features presentations and live demonstrations of products from Lab.gruppen, Tannoy, and Lake.
Tannoy speakers are aimed at professional installations in places such as churches, residential installations as well as studio. The Tannoy speakers featured on the road trip are the QFlex speakers, a digital beam steering loudspeaker column array that distributes smooth, even coverage in acoustically challenging spaces for the professional installed market, such as houses of worship, transportation hubs, convention centres, conference facilities, shopping malls, performing arts centres and museums. Also featured are the Tannoy DVS range and the CVS range of speakers.
The Energy Star qualified Lab.gruppen Lucia is designed with speed of install and flexibility in mind. The two-channel Lucia is a compact and versatile class D amplifier platform combining innovative, low impedence electronics with cutting edge processing from the world of high-end broadcast audio. Lucia delivers consistently great sound at any listening level.
The Lab.gruppen PLM series with Lake processing offers three power models (2 500W to 7 000W per channel), two channel and four channel output configurations, touring and installation features, Dante network audio, failover redundant inputs and Lab.gruppen patented technologies.
The Lab.gruppen D series represents a completely integrated amplifier platform available in two variants – one featuring Lake processing (Dante) and the other Tesira (AVB). D series is the first Lab.gruppen amplifier to offer full integration with the Tesira DSP platform from Biamp Systems. New technology for the D series is Rational Power Management, which offers true flexibility in allocating available power across channels, it lowers the overall system costs, and regardless of model, any channel has the potential to deliver up to 5 000W.
Also featured was the new PLM+ touring icons, which have been published on the Pro-Systems News website before.
Finally, more Tannoy speakers were presented and demonstrated, including the VQ series, VSX series, the VX series, and the new VXP series, which are the self-powered variants of the VX series with first ever collaboration between Tannoy and Lab.gruppen on a self-powered loudspeaker.
