MA Lighting’s latest software release, version 3.0, received the most attention and praise at the PLASA exhibition in London last month. It provides users with a suite of integrated tools to control and visualise lighting and video. The MA VPU 3.0 software now offers a single SD output for free, streaming CITP 3D visualisation and seamless integration of unique features like auto backup, blind-mode and preview programming. Advanced grandMA2 features like Message Centre and inbuilt network stability tests are also incorporated, along with intelligent colour control and true 3D XYZ control with integrated support for external position tracking systems (PosiStageNet-Protocol).
Glyn O’Donoghue, MA Lighting’s managing director, commented on MA’s very successful tradeshow presence: “PLASA was again an ideal platform to show what’s new from MA. Located on the booth of MA’s UK distributor Ambersphere Solutions, we had an excellent response to our highlighted products, the version 3.0 software as well as the new MA 2Port Node and the MA 4Port Node solutions. The show once again underlined the trust that the market has in the grandMA2 platform. We received much positive feedback on the console.’
MA was not only busy releasing its biggest software release to date, the company also introduced a new range of 1Gbit 2 and 4 port network nodes. For use in combination with the grandMA2 onPC software, the MA 2Port Nodes are also available in 1,024 and 2,048 parameter versions for standalone use or combined with the MA onPC command wing and MA onPC fader wing for parameter expansion.
