The PSL awards, the prestigious award ceremony that honours our most excellent Premiere Soccer League players, took place on Sunday 18 May, 2014 at the Sandton Convention Centre. The event was hosted by Robert Marawa and Carol Tshabalala from Supersport and Thomas Mlambo and Minenhle Dlamini from SABC. Sibusiso Vilakazi (Bidvest Wits) took the award for PSL Footballer of the Season.
The technical supplier of the event was Gearhouse, while the lighting designer, subcontracted by Gearhouse, was Francois van der Merwe of the WIZARDRY GROUP. INHOUSE venue technical management, a division of the Gearhouse Group, handled logistical management of the event.
Van der Merwe comments, “We have a great working relationship and WIZARDRY GROUP is always eager to assist on Gearhouse events. We work well together.’
Martin fixtures were central to the show for van der Merwe. 42 MAC VIPERS, 41 MAC 2000 Washes, and 38 MAC 101 made up a huge part of the show. Van der Merwe is an avid support of Martin fixtures.
“I absolutely love the Viper range’, says van der Merwe. “It is an amazing fixture. I truly believe that the Viper is going to take over the Mac 2000’s legacy and become the new work horse in the industry.’
