Martin Professional is offering lighting designers globally a place in the race to become the hottest new up-and-coming young lighting designer. To enter, LD’s must programme their ultimate show to a music track of their choice and submit a recording to the Martin Facebook contest page.
The prize:
Apart from instant stardom, the winner will be awarded two prizes; a trip to Prolight + Sound 2014 in Frankfurt (terms and conditions apply*) and the M2GO™ controller.
2nd place wins the M2PC™.
3rd place wins the Martin USB Duo DMX Interface.
Contest outline:
This contest takes place on Facebook. During the contest your friends, colleagues and other Facebook users can vote for their favourite shows. When the contest ends, the three shows with the most votes enter the final stage of the contest. A panel of judges will deliberate and pick the final winner. The panel is made up of last year’s winner, Brad Helzer and Martin employees with field experience, Theis Wermuth and Paul Pelletier. The winner will be announced March 3rd.
The contest is currently open and the last entries must be submitted by March 2nd no later than 1:00 am CAT.
In order to compete, you have to be a young amateur lighting designer between the age of 18 and 30.
Please note, that in order to participate, you need to be available to travel to Frankfurt, March 12-15 2014, in case you win.
*Martin Professional will cover the costs of the entry tickets to Prolight + Sound 2014, standard hotel for two people in one room and a standard plane ticket for one.
