Prolyte has supplied the majority of the equipment required for a number of EDM
festivals held in Europe this year, including Forza Zu and After Hills in June, Neversea
and Electric Castle in July and Untold in August. Untold held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania
this year, was awarded Best Major European Festival 2015 and motivated the Untold
team to stage an unrivalled festival this year, which included a lineup of almost every
name on the DJ top 20.

The Prolyte Group worked closely with the mastermind behind these events, Corneliu
Ladin. A Prolyte fan from his first encounter with the company and its products, Ladin
trusts Prolyte to deliver and perform.

Ladin is familiar with the BGR70 truss which was the first choice for Arena Events in
creating and designing the European festival stages.

“With the quality and specs of this truss, we were able to create a more elaborate
design and were able to exploit the truss’ high load-bearing features together with its
ability to be built with zero deflection for maximum effect. The BGR70 truss is ideal for
creating stunning front facades, such as for the Neversea main stage’, states designer
BigVis. “We used two spans of 22 metre BGR70 truss to support the curved LED
panels, which gave depth to the stage structure,’ he concludes.

Arena Events is one of the first companies in Europe to own Prolyte’s BGR70 truss.
Due to its low volume and height, combined with a high load-bearing capacity, the
BGR70 truss is extremely suitable as a mother grid, or to support a front façade for
large sets. Due to its zero deflection, the BGR70 truss is ideal for applications with
motion or LED screens.

Three spans of 26 metre BRG70 were used to create the striking front façade for the
Untold main stage, supported by six two tonne hoists per side, creating just enough
load bearing capacity to mount the extravagant decoration, lighting and LED panels
that were all part of the design. It was this stage that inspired Armin van Buuren to
extend his set to five full playing hours.

Corneliu Ladin states: “Apart from the new BGR70 truss, we used a variety of Prolyte
products, including its crowd barriers, roof systems, and StageDex, to name a few.
This is why Prolyte is a great partner for us – they supply all the hardware you need to
organise your event or festival. And, more importantly, they really do care about
audience safety. All of their products are absolutely reliable,’ Ladin concludes.
