TechRig, one of South Africa’s foremost technical solutions company, has announced that it will be supplying all the sound, structure and audio visual requirements for the Nike We Run Jozi 2012 event. We Run Jozi, a 10 kilometre race to be held on 7 October, is one of 34 races to take place in Nike’s 2012 global We Run series which aims to inspire, enable and connect runners around the world.
A total 20,000 South African’s will form part of the 395,500 runners from 34 cities participating in the We Run 2012 Series, which commenced on 1 September in Prague. The run, which will connect runners through Nike’s most innovative and digitally advanced Nike+ technology, will travel to countries across Africa, Asia, Central Europe, Middle East and Latin America, concluding in December in Brazil.
Speaking about the project TechRig’s Account Manager, Robert Grobler, noted the importance for such occasions for his company. “This is another great and exciting opportunity for the TechRig team to do what they do best and take on the challenge to showcase the Nike Runs event expertly and efficiently,’ he said.
