Xtreme Productions is a Centurion-based production company specializing in Lighting/Sound/AV and Staging. Company owner Joe Engels started his career in the entertainment business as a DJ … at the age of 13! After completing his schooling he worked for a Production Company where he gained knowledge on many technical aspects of the entertainment business: Sound, Lighting and AV. In 2003 he launched Xtreme Productions by investing in Martin Lighting equipment: he purchased 2 x MX10 Extremes (excuse the pun) along with a Compulite Rave. From there he grew his business by focusing primarily on school productions. The lighting division grew with the addition of 4 x Mac250 Entours, Atomic Strobes as well as JEM Hazer and Smoke Machines.
While he added a PRX Audio System with the Yamaha 01V console, wireless microphones and headsets, fast fold screens and projectors, staging and trussing he always knew that Martin was the brand he would continue to invest in when it came to his lighting requirements: “Martin gives me great value for money, the products are reliable and I get amazing back-up and support from Electrosonic SA.’
Xtreme Productions recently invested in a Mobile Stage that can be set up at any location. With this development Joe approached Electrosonic SA to purchase 8 x Mac401s, as well as M2PC and Versa-Light LED Curtains. Electrosonic SA was also able to supply Xtreme Productions with various Kramer products for their AV division including VP724 and VP747 scalers and various video switching components. Xtreme Productions’ services include converting any venue or space into a fully functional temporary theatre. Electrosonic SA congratulates Joe on his recent purchase of 16 x Mac101’s and 6 x Rush MH3 Beams, to improve his service offering. “I cannot believe how powerful the 101s and the rush beams are, they are very impressive fixtures!’ Joe enthused, “Xtreme Productions can now provide an excellent service with the best equipment, offering an affordable solution for our customers’.
