On May 16th the Tobacco Dock in East London will be the home of the 5th edition of the NEC Showcase. The event is the only one of its kind in the UK that brings together the leading specialists in Display Solutions and the latest Innovations under one roof. Scala will be present in several of the event’s zones showcasing transportation, retail and digital out of home solutions.
In the retail zone Scala will be showcasing intelligent point of sale signage to enhance the shopping experience with targeted applications driven by audience measurement. A Scala-driven way-finding application integrated with 6 point touch from M-tech running on a NEC X551S can also be found here. In addition, Scala will showcase its Fling application allowing a user to “throw’ content from a tablet/mobile device onto a screen with a swipe of a finger. At solution 29 in the Transportation zone, Scala, driving content from Pixel Inspiration, utilises a 55′ NEC P552 with touch interaction to demonstrate a typical airport digital signage solution for way-finding applications. At solution 34 in the same zone, Scala is displayed on a 42′ NEC V422 within an IP54 rated cabinet, which offers a semi-waterproof signage display solution provided by Peerless.
Solution 96 in the Digital Out of Home zone is also powered by Scala, with content from Pixel Inspiration. This solution showcases NEC’s new value series 80′ V801 is mounted on a Unicol trolley and shows signage, IPTV feed from Exterity, Twitter feeds and live announcements.
