Alcons Audio will be presenting its latest sound system innovations, based around the company’s patented Pro-Ribbon transducer technology and its on going pursuit of audio perfection.
“The Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt is one of our most important shows, where we traditionally host our new product introductions. This year is no different, with two new pro-ribbon line-array systems, of which the LR28 is our most important product introduction in our existence. We also look forward to meeting existing and new Alcons Ambassadors,” says Alcons Audio’s managing director Tom Back.
The LR28 larger format line array marks an important advance for the company within the concert touring and large-scale installation market; featuring a proprietary 14-inch pro-ribbon, the LR28 sets new benchmarks for throw, projection control and non-distorted linear sound response in even the largest applications.
With the new smaller format line-array, Alcons is introducing her symmetrical acoustical design also in the “compact” range; The bi-amped 3-way system features a flat frequency response to beyond 20kHz. and patented 90° x 10° dispersion from a purpose-built pro-ribbon driver platform.
The Sentinel amplified loudspeaker controllers are the drive engines behind the Alcons pro-ribbon sound systems. The proprietary-developed amplified processors offer 4-in/4-out, 192kHz AES/EBU digital inputs, full-colour touch-screen and encoder, ALControl remote and up to 10kW true audiophile-grade amplifier stages.
Alcons will also host off-site demonstrations on 15 and 16 April. All four acoustic formats of Alcons products will be demonstrated – the V-series point-source monitor, the Q-series line source column, L-series line array and R-series point source array.
Recent Alcons ambassadors include: Walt Disney Germany, St. Patrick’s Cathedral New York USA, Hamburg State Opera house Germany, Lucasfilm Singapore, The Music Room Dubai, NBCUniversal Pictures China, Jazz at Lincoln Center Qatar, Red Bull’s Hangar-7 Austria, Volkswagen Glaserne Manufaktur, and Berlinale Theater am Potsdamer Platz Germany.
