Electrosonic SA’s managing member, Bruce Genricks and his colleagues Rupert Denoon, Jason Johnstone and Abrie du Plooy attended the 12th ISE trade show in Amsterdam earlier this month.
The product managers represented Electrosonic SA at the respective dealer conferences, Denoon at the Crestron dealer conference and Johnstone at the Kramer dealer conference. The purpose of these conferences was to gain first hand product training on the latest products as well as a walkthrough of the stand and represent the brands during the actual show. As distributors of Crestron, Kramer, NEC and more; Electrosonic SA were excited to see what new products were on offer and once again, ISE did not disappoint.
There was a new surprise squeezed into every corner of the 36 000-square-metre floor space. The record was most certainly broken this year with 1 052 exhibitors displaying the latest technology for the professional AV and electronic systems gurus.
The overall theme of the show seemed to be 4K and although there were not too many brand new products, they were certainly faster, smaller and displayed higher resolutions. Genricks was glad to see that the 4K products are becoming available as actual products, as opposed to just concepts proposed in previous years. He was also impressed that 4K is now happening at 60 Hz instead of 30 Hz. The astounding 3D projection mapping technology coming of age, caught his eye, commenting on how much easier it is to calibrate now. One of the first evening events attended by the team was the 2015 InAVation Awards.
In addition to the InAVation Awards Green Hippo’s magpi solo and Kramer Via Collage both won the Best of Show Award at ISE 2015 and Crestron won AV Market Development Initiative of the Year Award in the AVnews Awards 2015. Electrosonic SA is proud to represent the Crestron, Kramer and Hippo brands in South Africa it seems that Electrosonic SA may have a good thing going with such partners, says Genricks.
“The trade show continued with the Electrosonic SA team working hard at each of the stands – taking the time to share product knowledge with our dealers, colleagues and friends. They all remained impressed with the display of products as well as the turnout of South African’s attending the show.’
