SACIA recently announced that they will be hosting two courses in Johannesburg
during late November this year.

From 18-20 November they are hosting the popular InfoComm GEN112 CTS Prep
class designed to assist AV professionals prepare for the written CTS exam. The
course covers a broad spectrum of content and is run as a forum for people to
explore a wide range of topics relevant to the AV industry – and work
collaboratively, studying the exam content areas with the help of facilitators.

Then from 25-27 November, SACIA will be hosting the InfoComm GEN111 AV
Essentials course. This 3-day course provides in-depth explanations of the science
and technology for basic audio, visual and audio-visual systems integration. A brief
overview of the sales, rental/hire, design and installation functions is included in the
course content. This course builds the student’s understanding of the fundamentals
used on a daily basis in the audio-visual industry. It is also great prep for the
students wanting to earn the InfoComm-recognised AV Technologist certificate and
the SACIA certified AV Practitioner credential.

Course cost for each course is R9,500 plus VAT (R7,500 plus VAT for SACIA and
TPSA members).
