The Madison Avenue group of clubs has branches in Pretoria, Cape Town and the
flagship branch in Rivonia, Johannesburg.
Surgesound was instrumental in supplying all the venues, and installing the Pretoria
and Rivonia clubs. The Johannesburg branch required the highest specifications
which included EAW’s revolutionary new QX3-Series. Each unit consists of four
phase aligned 10′ Low frequency drivers and a single 4′ High frequency
Compression driver. The phenomenal output of this box is a mind blowing 144dB
SPL Peak. Also included in the flagship installation to up the performance of the low
end, was Powersoft’s top of the range dedicated K20 subwoofer amplifier. With an
enormous 9000W RMS on 2Ω, this provides more than enough headroom to power
EAW’s legendary Avalon DCS2 Subwoofers.
