Music in the Mix at Mediatech Africa 2013

Muso’s, DJ’s and professional music industry product suppliers will be moving to a new beat at Mediatech Africa 2013. The biennial advanced technology trade show has upped the tempo this year and is in its 7th run of delivering the latest in cutting edge technology and trends. In 2011 the interactive media and entertainment hub received a standing ovation from 6395 visitors.

Among a spread of products and services, Mediatech Africa will present a dynamic playlist of engaging merchandise. Taking centre stage in the music and studio arena are: loud speakers, amplifiers, microphones, plug-ins, midi controllers, digital audio workstations, musical instruments, amplifiers, hardware processors.

Chris Andrews from Audiosure has said that they are very excited to be participating in Mediatech Africa again this year and will be using the platform to showcase some very impressive new kit, as well as ranges of product that they feel fit the profile of the exhibition. “Sure to be of great interest to the live sound and studio visitors will be the Allen & Heath stand, where some of the new tech will be on full working display. This includes the new ME-1 personal monitoring system; GLD digital desk with its new firmware and iPad app; and the legendary iLive systems, also with updated firmware which gives them an array of new functionality. The GSR24 studio desk will be on live demo, and a range of ZED compact mixers will be on display.

Aspiring and professional DJ’s will love to touch, feel and play with the world-class gadgets that Audiosure will be showcasing. DenonDJ and Allen & Heath will be showing off their flagship DJ kit. Lastly, Chris says: “Visitors will be able to see XTA processors, MC2 amplifiers and SurgeX power protection in action and some of the agencies will be flying across to attend the show as well, bringing in some great technical minds that guests will be able to pick at leisure.’
The DJ element of Mediatech Africa is a growing technical playground of tools including DJ mixers and turntables, headphones and microphones, CD players, digital audio workstations, midi controllers, lighting and lasers, loudspeakers, recorders, amplifiers and accessories.
